FIRST PARAGRAPH: Hi everyone! We have some very exciting news for you...The Moxie will be starting the post-apocalyptic film THE ROAD on December 18! Based on one of the best books written in the past 100 years (my opinion), it's about a father and son trying to survive years after some world-wide catastrophic event. We are very excited!

FIRST PARAGRAPH: An update on our 2009 Documentary Film Series! We're running out of time before the True/False passes are for sale, and we've had quite a few cards filled up. So - EVEN IF YOU HAVEN'T COMPLETED IT, or you only have ONE STAMP, drop it by this week for a chance to win a Simple Pass to this year's True False Film Festival in Columbia, Feb. 25 - 28! We'll be doing 2 drawings: one for the card with the most stamps, and then a random card. YOU MUST TURN IT IN BY FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 20, 2009 to be eligible!!!

FIRST PARAGRAPH: Here at The Moxie, we like to experiment with our film programming. One of the things we like to do is give some films a 'second chance,' meaning that we pick up some of the giant multiplex films that have more of an art-house appeal. We're extremely selective on which films we choose to do this with - some recent films have been SUNSHINE CLEANING, AWAY WE GO, and THE HURT LOCKER. This week, we're adding Michael Moore's new documentary, CAPITALISM: A LOVE STORY.
