I love the winter weather...NOT

FIRST PARAGRAPH: Just a reminder to check our website, call our movie line, or look at your Facebook or Twitter feeds for news of any film cancellations. We rarely do this, but it seems every January we have to cut out a show or two due to ice and snow.

FIRST PARAGRAPH: This is the real Dan speaking. I haven't written much over the last six months, but I'm here today to wish you all a happy holiday, and to post a picture of Jasper (b/c that's what dad's do). Eat your heart out!

Exciting news!

FIRST PARAGRAPH: Hi everyone! We have some very exciting news for you...The Moxie will be starting the post-apocalyptic film THE ROAD on December 18! Based on one of the best books written in the past 100 years (my opinion), it's about a father and son trying to survive years after some world-wide catastrophic event. We are very excited!

Last minute film addition!

FIRST PARAGRAPH: Here at The Moxie, we like to experiment with our film programming. One of the things we like to do is give some films a 'second chance,' meaning that we pick up some of the giant multiplex films that have more of an art-house appeal. We're extremely selective on which films we choose to do this with - some recent films have been SUNSHINE CLEANING, AWAY WE GO, and THE HURT LOCKER. This week, we're adding Michael Moore's new documentary, CAPITALISM: A LOVE STORY.

Rocky Horror Fans...please don't throw eggs!

FIRST PARAGRAPH: We've made a mention of it in the past on the blog, but no official post, so here's the news: There will be no presentation of ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW this year due to scheduling conflicts across the board with the parties involved.

FIRST PARAGRAPH: While our Summer lineup consisted of about three or four great films, our Fall lineup is shaping up to include about three or four times the amount of great films! Here's a sneak preview:

Happy Birthday, Moxie!

FIRST PARAGRAPH: For those of you who keep track, we'll be celebrating our FOUR YEAR anniversary on Monday, September 21st! Four years! We can't tell if it feels like four days, four months, or four lifetimes. Either way, we've had a great time so far, and want to thank all of our customers for making The Moxie what it is!
