Synopsis

Join us for another collection of enjoyable and eccentric animated short films from around the world. The 2006 Animation program contains an assorted collection of innovative moving image artists who are pioneering the development of new and exciting ways of approaching animation.

The program includes shorts by Signe Baumane and Joanna Priestley, in addition to Federico Solmi’s animations and drawings, which have been shown at the Drawing Center in New York, as well as around the world. His short featured here, “Rocco Never Dies” was also featured at the last Impakt Film Festival. In contrast to moving image artists with a long experience in animation, this program also presents lesser known animators and artists just at the beginning of their careers.
