Synopsis
Do you remember the fundraiser we held to raise money for the installation of a 35mm projector at the Gillioz? Well, thanks to your generous donations, we just finished work on the projector last week, and will be screening our first film (the first since the theater closed nearly 30 years ago) this Friday at 2:00 pm. The film will be SEVEN SAMURAI, and is shown in conjunction with the "Made in Japan" month-long celebration of Japanese culture, which culminates with two performances of "Madame Butterfly" by the Springfield Opera on the 26th and 28th of October. Tickets are $7, and will be available at the door. We'll keep you updated as we develop more film programming for the Gillioz.
