After operating in our current space on West Walnut for the last 2,000 days (give or take a few), we've decided it was time for a change. Thanks to an overwhelming amount of community support, we've simply outgrown our current space and single-screen set-up, so we're heading a few blocks East into a new building that will help us better accomodate our growth and serve our growing customer base. We'll miss our charming little locale on the corner of Campbell and Walnut, but we're also incredibly excited for the future in our new space at the Wilhoit Plaza, and hope you are too.
We've designed this page to help answer any questions you might have about our move, but if there's something that you're still confused about, please feel free to contact us and we'll try our best to set you straight.
The two questions we get the most regarding our move are, "where are you moving?" and "when are you moving?". We're moving into the Wilhoit Plaza, which is roughly two blocks to the East of our current location, and, if everything goes as planned, we should be holding our grand opening on the weekend of our third anniversary, September 19 - 21, 2008 in early November. If you're from Springfield, and are familiar with downtown, I'd answer the question by saying, "we're going to be in the Wilhoit Plaze, which is the building directly South of the downtown YMCA, on the corner of Pershing and Jefferson." If, however, you need something a little more concrete, maybe this map will help you. Point A is our original location, and Point B is our new one.

What's this I hear about a fundraiser?

When will the original Moxie close, and what will become of it?
The original Moxie will close on September 3rd in early November, but we might have one or two special "going away" parties before it's all said and done. We'll remain closed for the next week or two (giving us time to relocate all of our original equipment to the new space, set up new projection equipment, install chairs, build the bar, have test screenings, etc.) before reopening on our anniversary weekend of September 19th through 21st in early to mid November. As for the original Moxie, we're not sure what will become of it, but whatever does happen, I'm sure it will continue to live up to the awesome reputation it's earned over the last three years.
