MoxieTV Troubleshooting

There is no audio, only video, when viewing the streaming imbedded version.

To stream the video we use Flash 8. You need to have the Flash 8 Player installed. Some people have encountered problems (such as no audio) when older versions of the Flash Player. You can upgrade to the newest version of the Flash Player here, free of charge.

I have the Flash 8 Player installed, but I still can't see and/or hear the embedded video! Help!

There could be a couple of reasons. What version of Internet Explorer are you using? We've only really tested up to version 6.0, so if you have an older version, it might be a good idea to upgrade. It's free, and can be done by visiting Windows Update. While this may help you view our video, which is the main reason you're here, it will also allow you to have a safer browsing experience in general. Of course, if we could have our way, we'd encourage you to download and install the free, and quite wonderful Firefox.

I'm still having problems viewing the embedded video.

We also offer downloadable versions of the video which can be played through Windows Media Player, or another player of your choice capable of playing the WMV format. Try the downloaded version, and see if that works for you.

But I'm on a Mac!

We do have Quicktime versions available, but Quicktime is finicky and we can't always render a good, working version of the episode in the .MOV format. Alternatively, you can download this free utility from Microsoft to play WMV files on your Mac. This is a temporary fix until we get rendering for Quicktime to work properly.
