The Dog Salesman
Synopsis: Martin is the leader of a crew of misfit “criminals”, containing his dumb but endearing friend Marshall, and his awkward but smart friend Lyle. Their current criminal operation involves stealing dogs from wealthy dog owners, and then returning the dogs to collect a reward. After oversharing about the operation on what Martin thought was a date, he is arrested along with his crew. A few months pass in prison before the guys decide to give their escape plan a go. Their plan involves befriending Doug, the guard that is supervising them, flattering him on his Birthday, and getting taken off premises to celebrate with him — Only for the guys to ditch him in a vulnerable state. Once on the run, the guys are joined by Rodney, a true malicious criminal that assists them with their plan before parting ways. The crew faces turmoil over their different ideas on what to do next. However, when Martin steps away out of frustration, Lyle and Marshall are arrested again. Conflicted over leading a life of crime but wanting to save his friends, Martin is confronted by Doug. Doug surprisingly gives Martin the motivation he needs to pull off a miracle and make things right for him and his friends.
